The Heart of Mexico
27 april 2018 - Oaxaca, Mexico
Dear loving family, sympathic friends and curious strangers,
I found the Heart of Mexico! According to me, it can be found in Oaxaca. It's a state in South-Mexico with its capital: Oaxaca-city. Such a diversity of cultures, living in harmony next to eachother. The city is so expressive, with its colours, musea, markets, relaxing vibe, humble people, rich history, art without rules and liberating music.
We went on several tours to visit one of the most breath taking places. We learned how indigenous people make their own colours and clothing. We got silence at a Frida Kahlo's exhibition. We got disappionted by Puebla's condition and overwhelmed by all the new experiences. Back to reality, back to Guadalajara, where we almost start with our final examens. Soon the study part of this exchange will be over. Saying goodbye is going to be hard, but there is a 'good' in the bye-part, because there was a hello!
After this travel, I wonder.....
- Why do we have a living room, when live is outside?
- Why don't we bring colours to our streets?
- Why are we afraid to be completely ourselves, when it's actually crazy if we don't?
Scroll through the pictures and video's to find out why and feel free to brainstorm with me :)!
With Explosive Love,
Julissa
